Im 17 now i had depression a few months ago and seen a counceler through the doctor and took medication then i got better. Now its coming back and i realised i have social anxiety because i feel like i cant go anywhere because im soooooooo shy and now its making me depressed again. I dont no what to do i told my mum but shes ill her self shes exactly the same and doesnt support me atall. I think the atmosphere at home with my mum makes it worse. My boyfriend doesnt no what to do he doesnt understand it and i have no friends to help me because im just so shy. I really want a job but im way to nervous for that. PLEASE HELP
make yourself do some sort of exercise, while you are jogging or riding a bike you don’t have to talk to anyone so you don’t have to deal w/being shy. later as you develop a routine you will start to see the same people over and over again on a daily basis, you may not know them personally but seeing what other people are up to when you go on your jog/walk/ride will help make you feel like you are being social w/out the interaction. later still when you develop a sense of well being from all that excersise you might just have the empowerment to actually stop and talk to that lady that always walks her dog when you are making your rounds. a new friend awaits you around the corner everyday.=] -blurey

You should check with a psychiatrist and/or psychologist, they can help you through this and help you find techniques that work best for you to drive away your anxieties.
But ultimately I think you are going to have to push yourself into social situations, but remember to be gradual about it and go at a comfortable pace.
Hope I helped.
